Morfin The Life Coach ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Cesar Morfin Barajas, sole proprietor doing business as Morfin The Life Coach, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit www.morfinthelifecoach.com (the "Site") or engage our coaching services.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide directly when you:
- Book a Discovery Call, 1:1 Session, or Morfin Method program
- Subscribe to our Next Level membership
- Submit our Contact form
- Email or call us
- Pay for services through our payment processor (Wix Payments)
This may include: full name, email address, phone number, payment information (processed by Wix Payments — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers), billing address, scheduling preferences, and any messages or information you share during sessions or correspondence.
We also automatically collect:
- Browser type, device, IP address, pages visited, time on site (via Wix analytics and, where applicable, Google Analytics)
- Cookies (see Cookie Policy)
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use information to:
- Provide coaching services and schedule sessions
- Process payments and send receipts
- Communicate with you about bookings, program logistics, and support
- Send the post-Discovery follow-up email (if you completed a Discovery Call)
- Improve our website and services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Send marketing communications only if you explicitly opt in
3. SMS / TEXT MESSAGING
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you SMS text messages related to your bookings and coaching — including booking confirmations, session reminders, follow-up messages after sessions, and customer-care responses.
- Consent: You opt in by scheduling a session or submitting a form with your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.
- Message frequency varies based on your activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out at any time, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP, or email morfinlive@gmail.com.
- We do NOT sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in/consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. SMS consent data is used solely to deliver the messages described above.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY OF COACHING CONTENT
Information shared during coaching sessions is held in strict confidence and never disclosed without your written consent, with these exceptions only:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Suspected child or elder abuse
- Court order or legal subpoena
This applies to recordings, written notes, and verbal communications.
5. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do NOT sell your personal information. We share data only with:

- Google Meet (video conferencing, for online sessions) — see https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Calendar (scheduling sync, with your authorization) — see https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Email and SMS service providers (transactional messages)
- Government authorities when legally required
These third parties are bound by their own privacy policies and may process data outside the United States.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing
- Receive a copy of your data in portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of "sales" (we do not sell data).
EU/UK RESIDENTS (GDPR): We process data on the legal basis of (a) contract performance for booked services, (b) consent for marketing, (c) legitimate interest for site analytics.

7. DATA RETENTION
- Booking records: kept for 7 years for tax purposes
- Coaching notes: kept for 3 years after last session, then destroyed
- Marketing email list: kept until you unsubscribe
- Site analytics: aggregated and anonymized after 90 days
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Cesar works with teens ages 14–18 only with explicit written parental/guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14. Teen sessions require parents to sign a Parental Consent Form before the first session.
9. SECURITY
We use industry-standard security: HTTPS encryption, Wix Payments-secured payment processing, password-protected admin access. No system is 100% secure, but we make reasonable efforts to protect your information.
10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be notified via email to active clients.
